Douglas L. Ducate, CEM, CMP

Doug has been President and CEO of the Center for 
Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR), formerly the Trade 
Show Bureau, since 1998. His experience has included 26 
years as Associate Executive Director of the Society of 
Petroleum Engineers (SPE) where he led the organization 
in its very successful internationalization. Under his leadership,
SPE founded the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) 
which became one of the largest exhibitions in the world.

Doug has also served as president of PGI Exhibitions and 
Sr. VP of PGI, a global business communications, meetings 
and exhibitions, multimedia production, and entertainment
company. He has been honored for his contributions to the
industry by being inducted into the Convention Liaison Council
(CLC) Hall of Leaders and has received the Distinguished 
Service Award and the William Hunt Eisenman Award of the
International Association for Exposition Management (IAEM). 

He has served as President of IAEM, Chairman of CLC, and 
has served on numerous boards representing the hospitality
industry. He was named to the Meeting News list of "25 Most
Influential People in the Meetings Industry".

Doug is also currently Managing Partner and CFO of 
Conference & Marketing Assistance Corporation. CMAC, LLC 
is a 35 year old corporation that provides convention and 
meeting transportation services, with operational offices in 
Dallas, TX, Las Vegas, NV and Providence, RI.
