David E. Whitney
Dave has 35 years experience in marketing and development
of sales programs, promotions and results oriented marketing approaches. He was President and CEO of the Dallas
Convention and Visitors Bureau from 1989-2003.
Dave has served on the Board of Directors for the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), Center for
Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR), and the International
Association of Convention and Visitor Bureaus (IACVB) which
chose him as Member of the Year in 1996.
Dave is currently President Hospitality Division of New Media
Gateway in Dallas, TX, responsible for planning, solicitation
and bookings with the hospitality industry. New Media Gateway
provides digital sales and marketing solutions for more than
2,000 corporations worldwide. Additionally, Dave is a partner
in The Augusta Group and Conference & Meeting Assistance
Corporation.
