Roy B. Evans, CAE
Roy retired as President and CEO of the Professional
Convention Management Association (PCMA) in
June, 2000. During his tenure, PCMA increased
membership from 500 to over 5,000 and increased its
annual budget from $300,000 to $9 million.
Previously he was Executive Director of the Southern
Medical Society. Roy's 40-year association career has
focused on meeting planning and continuing adult
education as well as publishing and television production.
Roy was inducted into the Convention Liaison Council (CLC)
Hall of Leaders in 1993. He has been honored by the
International Association of Convention and Visitor Bureaus
(IACVB) with its Spirit of Hospitality Award; the New York
Society of Association Executives Inspiration of Excellence
Award; and the George Washington University Excellence
in Hospitality Education Award.
